Rose Nagy received her Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College and has her Master of Arts degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. At Columbia she was inducted into the Education Honors Society Kappa Delta Pi.

When she was hired at the middle school in Flemington, the choral program met before the school day and consisted of 25 members. Fifteen years later, chorus is an integral part of the school day and over 200 students participate in one or more of the five choral ensembles at J. P. Case Middle School.

Vocal ensembles under her direction have won numerous first place and best overall ensemble awards. Professional Accolades include Teacher of the Year at Reading Fleming Middle School and the NJ Governor’s Teacher Recognition Award.  She is a Fulbright Alumnus teaching music at the St. Antony’s Lewiston School in Sherborne England.  In 2008 her lesson plans incorporating technology in the music classroom were published in Technology Integration the Elementary Music Classroom by Amy M. Burns. She has been a guest conductor for the Central Jersey Region II Intermediate Chorus.

Outside of her school responsibilities, she is the founder and director of Bel Canto Singers, a select choir for ambitious young women in grades seven through 12 at Hunterdon Academy of the Arts in Flemington, NJ. She also performs with Princeton Pro Musica.
