- Position: Director of Music  P/T (about 25 hours/week, July off.)

- Description: The Director of Music is responsible for developing, recruiting, and providing leadership for the congregation's music programs (Children's, Youth, Adult Choral Choirs, Children's, Youth/Adult Bell Choirs). The DM will work with the Pastor, lay members and other music staff members in planning all worship experiences.

- Qualifications: BA or higher in music or commensurate church music experience. Strong choral directing skills required. Keyboard skills strongly desired. Familiarity with sacred music in a liturgical setting preferred. Flexibility in leading traditional and contemporary worship services.

- Position: High School vocal music / music theory teaching position 10 month, starting Sept. 1, 2010

- Description/Qualifications: The Ridgewood High School Choir / Vocal Music Program presents a comprehensive vocal music education representing all genres and time periods through a broad variety of large and small ensembles. RHS vocal students participate in a wide array of vocal experiences including performances of classical, jazz, and multi-cultural music as well as musical theater. RHS vocal ensembles have worked with renowned clinicians and performed in local and regional festivals and competitions as well as community events and activities. Individually, students have participated in honors ensembles at the Regional, All State, All Eastern and National level. Candidates for this position should be an expert in vocal pedagogy, have excellent piano, conducting, computer music applications (Sibelius, Auralia, etc.) and music theory skills. They also should demonstrate a knowledge of current and standard literature for SATB, SSA and SSAA ensembles.

Must have NJ Certification - Teacher of Music

- Responsibilities include: teaching and conducting advanced SATB Chamber Choir / teaching and conducting intermediate SATB Concert Choir / teaching and conducting ninth grade women’s ensemble / teaching Music Theory AP / teaching and conducting co-curricular vocal groups (Madrigal Singers, Vocal Jazz Ensemble) / working with theater productions to provide musical direction / working with parent support group

Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy (BYCA) seeks a dynamic conductor to further develop and conduct its Young Men’s Ensemble for male singers, ages 15-22, with changed voices.

Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy (BYCA) also seeks piano accompanists for its multi-level choral ensembles of children, ages 7-18. Accompanists will work with ensembles in rehearsals throughout the academic year, September through June, and will also accompany groups in concert performances as scheduled

- Position:  Vocal Music Teacher, Grades 6-8

- Description: Princeton Regional Schools is seeking a dynamic and energetic choral director to maintain a high level of excellence in choral music at John Witherspoon Middle School.  This individual will be responsible for the instruction and assessment of 325 students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade choral program.  This middle school program feeds the nationally recognized Princeton High School Choir.

- An ideal candidate:

·  Has experience and a passion for working with middle school students
·  Understands the unique developmental needs of adolescent singers
·  Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies and assessment tools to meet the needs of all students
·  Selects high quality repertoire from a variety of genres and cultures
