Conference photos

This year’s Eastern Division Conference withstood the challenge of record snows and icy sidewalks.  In the end, nature’s challenges only elicited the resilience and flexibility of the conference committee, most ably headed by Division President Lynn Drafall, and of numerous ACDA members who stepped in to direct honor choirs, accompany and generously help out in myriad ways.  It was—no mistake—a wonderful conference.  For the intrepid many who made it to Philadelphia, there was an unprecedented wealth of concerts, readings sessions and clinics.  Helmut Rilling held forth with the concurrent Philadelphia Bach Institute, answered questions, and thrilled with a night of Bach at the Kimmel Center.  Conspirare, the elegant ensemble from Texas, performed exquisitely at Holy Trinity, and all but two choruses ensembles were able to sing to our friendly audiences.
